One of the best visual games I have ever seen. by David A. Troutman
I am a big gamer and there are not many games that visualy have caused me to buy. AC is a great looking game over all. Game play took some time to get use to and it a bit redonedent with the same basic missions in each city but as you progress, they get more and more difficult. Love playing it!
Not a buyer in my opinion by Z. Hunter
I bought this game a long time ago and put the disc in my Xbox 360 thinking I would enjoy it. After a week or so, it became so repetitive and linear that I got tired of playing it and sold it for $30 to my brother who has moved out. After a while he wanted to give it back because he didn’t like it either, and I just got it back today from him and put it in to see if I would like it if I played it over again. I didn’t. Like I said, the gameplay is too repetitive and the quests are the same every time: assassinate, save a citizen being bullied by guards, pickpocket to get throwing knives, and interrogate people which means just hitting them until they tell you the information. And you spend your free time only jumping from building to building and occasionally killing guards. You can get away effortlessly, just climb a building and hide in a roof garden or a haystack on the ground. Not to mention the difficulty for this game is incredibly easy, you can take on as many as 30 guards and not die. If they made it so it had quests and side quests like Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, I would like it much more because those quests were so different and fun, they keep you occupied and entertained. Ubisoft kind of ruined this game, I’ve anticipated it far before it was released and am disappointed. Not to sound mean, but they focused too much on making the outstanding graphics that they didn’t include much of the fun factor in it.
This is an edit: I’ve been trying to play it again and get the achievements for my 360, that is the only thing keeping me motivated.
Fun but Limited by Christopher M. Judge
This game combines Spiderman, Splinter Cell, and Crackdown into one impressive free for all sandbox game. You can easily get 15+ hours out this game and its plot line will leave you wondering. However. This is also one of its problems: The ending left me scratching my head and looking to the internet for answers. The door has been left open for sequels.
Another problem I have found is that once it is over, it is over. I find little reason to play through again and unless they plan on releasing downloadable content (which they dont), there are few reasons to keep playing.
This game is one of the few I recommend spending $60 on, however, if you are strapped for cash, go for the rental.
Good Fun, Original, and Beautiful, but Glitchy, Short, Easy, and R E P E T I T I V E by Tyler S.
Assassin’s Creed is a great starter for the 360. The game is really fun in the beggining and incredibly simple to maneuver. The controls mainly consist of RT and A. If anyone had a hard time beating this game, then I ask you to consider your other talents. The game is too simple. But simple can be fun and this is a great example. Running on rooftops and throwing knives at guards was a blast. Beside all this the game has some issues.
The game is a little glitchy. I’ve had it freeze on me twice and some combat issues needed to be resolved. But this is nothing to really hoot and holler about. If there’s anything to complain about it is the repeptive gameplay. The whole game, until the end, consists of the same excact tasks that you must complete. There wasn’t really anything new to offer in each segment. Even the voiceovers seemed done by the same couple people, which really didn’t seem professional. It seems as if they really just rushed the game and pushed the release forward to get some sales while the console was new. The only other thing that bugged me was the length of the game and the ending. I won’t spoil the plot, but I really wanted more for my 50 bucks.
Bottom Line: Pick Creed up used. It’s a lot of fun, but it doesn’t have much replay value, and we’ll all like the sequel much better I’m sure. If you’re looking for the funnest adventure games for 360, pick this up, because nothing else better has really come out yet.
